On dry rock outcrop within forest of Abies concolor, Abies magnifica and Pinus lambertiana.
Plants robust (15-20 mm); plants glossy green; costa subpercurrent; perichaetial leaves with long (to 25 micrometers) somewhat curved marginal teeth; median cells long with cell walls 2 micrometers thick; no perigonia in axis of leaves below perichaetia = dioicous.
