Habitat: Slow-moving stream, with sand to soft silt bottom, 10 to 100 feet wide, 1 to 3 feet deep, densely vegetated with Elodea, Potamogeton amplifolius, P. friesii, P. pectinatus, P. amplifolius, P. obtusifolius, Ceratophyllum demersum, Nuphar variegatum, Nymphaea tuberosa.
