On a huge erratic in Pinus contorta-Picea engelmannii forest.
G. alpestris is the only common Grimmia here (only this single very small tuft of G. montana was seen along the entire trail. G. longirostris and G. pulvinata only occurred on massive outcrops near the lake!)
